In July 2022, former Waukegan 4th Ward Alderman Roudell Kirkwood was charged with dozens of felonies for forgery, wire fraud, and official misconduct. According to the Lake County News-Sun, these crimes were committed in connection with false statements he made on both video gaming and liquor license applications.
Even so, Kirkwood ran for re-election but lost to Victor Felix in the Democratic Party primary.
Since the disgraced former educator left the Waukegan City Council this spring, Waukeganites are wondering where he is and what the latest is with his case.
