Breaking: Alderman Guzman Blocks Eleanor Murkey’s Re-Appointment to the Waukegan Housing Board
In a shocking procedural motion, Alderman Jose Guzman blocked the reappointment of long-time Waukegan community leader Eleanor Murkey to the Waukegan Housing Authority Board.
Murkey is a well respected community leader having dedicated thirty-five years to the College of Lake County, now holds the status of a retired Dean. She is acknowledged for spearheading the initiative that transformed a modest three-room outreach center of the College of Lake County into a prominent, multi-million dollar, accredited institution that grants degrees and has earned recognition as an award-winning Community College Campus, all under her leadership as the Dean.
